They say that great people travel in packs–and after meeting Jamie and Bart, we couldn’t agree more. We were introduced to Jamie through her sister Kristen, and pretty much fell in love right away. She just has one of those spirits that makes your heart feel good. Our first conversation felt more like catching up with someone we’ve known for years, as opposed to an introduction. When we met her in person for the first time at her sister’s wedding, she ran outside to greet us with a smile and a hug.
It doesn’t take more than a few minutes with Jamie and Bart to see they are the perfect match. To see how lovingly they speak of one another and how supportive they are of the other’s dreams. During their shoot, they literally walked us through the start of their relationship–from the bar where he bought her the first beer, to the hot dog venue they bought their first meal (and the stoop they ate it on). We walked up and down Court Street, saw a bit of campus and even hiked up a
mountain huge hill to see the tree they carved their names in 2012 (swoon). Each spot we walked to came with a special meaning, a great story and brought huge smiles to both of their faces. The whole session felt like nothing but a privilege to get to be the ones to capture their love. We spent the entire session laughing with them like we’d known them for years, and with every click of the shutter, we just felt more and more lucky to be the ones who get to photograph their wedding day, and capture the beginning of their next chapter.
Jamie and Bart, thank you for sharing so much of your story with us during your engagement shoot. You two are a literal dream and we can’t wait to capture your big day in March!
