Kristen & Alex | An Amelita Mirolo Barn, Columbus, OH Wedding

She walked into the reception hall and immediately stopped in her tracks. You could almost feel her catch her breath. She was on her way to see her groom for the very first time on their wedding day (something she’d talked about all day), but instead she said something that caught us off guard.

“I just need a minute to take all of this in. It’s even more beautiful than I could have imagined. Everyone did such an incredible job.”

While most brides would miss the beauty around them rushing from one place to another, Kristen didn’t want to miss a thing all day. Because Kristen wasn’t most brides. In fact, she made getting married look as easy and fun as we believe it always should be. Perhaps it was because she is the coolest human ever (no lie), but it probably didn’t hurt that she was marrying Alex.

Alex was the coolest-as-a-cucumber groom the whole day. He spent the whole day genuinely connected – recounting the meaning behind each of the details, laughing with friends and family, and looking at Kristen as if she hung the moon.

Kristen and Alex’s wedding was hands-down the most personalized wedding we’ve ever gotten to photograph. Everything (and we mean literally everything) had a meaning. From the giant jenga set outside, to the taco truck dinner and the books that decorated the tables, to the travel-inspired gift table–everything showed a part of their fun and spunky love story.

Kristen and Alex, you two truly are one of a kind. Thank you for letting us in your little magic bubble for the day. We have no doubt that you will continue to make the most incredible memories as the years pass, taking the time to soak in the importance of them all. Here’s to a new friendship and to an over-the-moon-happy marriage for a lifetime!
